Sue Fuller
Sue Fuller has devoted her career to understanding the impact of emotions on the body and our profound ability to positively impact our own health and well-being.  As a young person she witnessed her parents’ health decline in the presence of stressful circumstances and emotions.  Both died in their early forties to diseases that we understand today to be directly influenced by the wear and tear that the body experiences under chronic stress.  Sue came to believe that while we cannot always control the many stressful events in our life, we still have enormous resources within us that can stimulate the body’s resiliency and ability to heal. Sue has pursued extensive training and expertise in cutting edge, holistic approaches that enhance health, performance, and emotional well-being.  She is excited to participate with the team of professionals at the Center of Integrative Medicine in providing personalized care that focuses on the whole person.

Sue has over 25 years of experience working with individuals and organizations as a psychotherapist, consultant, professional coach and trainer.  She currently serves on the faculty of the VCU School of Social Work and has previously consulted with the University of Virginia Medical Center to develop programs in self care and integrative medicine. Most recently she has provided training and coaching in stress resiliency and Emotional Intelligence at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Department of Defense and Homeland Security.  Sue graduated with honors from the University of Miami and received a Masters Degree in Literature and Mythology from Wesleyan University before pursuing her MSSW from the University of Texas, Austin.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a licensed HeartMath provider.

Sue brings a compassionate presence to her work with individuals and believes in engaging their strengths, values, and desires to create a more meaningful life, a more balanced life.  She encourages individuals to envision what they want to create in their life, and to take powerful yet practical incremental steps towards their goals.  As a result, a more fulfilling, healthy, and successful life can emerge
