Exercise Therapy Program
Your exercise therapist will design an individualized exercise program based your Body Age test results. This program is tailored to your specific physical needs and challenges. You will work one-on-one once per week for an hour each time with your exercise therapist.
You will also be given the opportunity to purchase a “cardio coach”, a watch that indicates when you are in your prescribed cardio zone as it records your independent workouts during the week. Your “cardio coach” will help build your confidence and keep you on track.
Your exercise program is perfectly designed to optimize your health and increase weight loss if necessary. Your exercise therapist will determine just the right frequency and intensity of exercise your body needs in the healthiest level of “work” for your heart in making adjustments from the time you first begin to the very end of your program. And you will always know what exercise intensity level you need, because your “watch” will tell you. Additionally, your therapist will also guide you through strength building exercises when you come to the Center as well as develop a routine for you to do when exercising on your own.
This is a critical dimension of your exercise program because cardiovascular as well as strength training causes your body to create more muscle mass which in turn helps you burn more calories even when your body is at rest. The more you burn calories the better your body composition will be.

Thai Chi: Tai Chi, as it is practiced in the west today, can perhaps best be thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. There are a number of forms (sometimes also called ‘sets’) which consist of a sequence of movements. Many of these movements are originally derived from the martial arts (and perhaps even more ancestrally than that, from the natural movements of animals and birds). In Tai Chi these movements are performed slowly, softly and gracefully, with smooth and even transitions between the movements. Yoga:
Yoga is about the union of a person’s own consciousness and the universal consciousness. Ancient Yogis had a belief that in order for man to be in harmony with himself and his environment, he had to integrate the body, the mind, and the spirit. For these three to be integrated, emotion, action, and intelligence must be in balance. The Yogis formulated a way to achieve and maintain this balance and it is done through exercise, breathing, and meditation - the three main Yoga structures.
